What is the difference between conventional nursing and nursing care at Kurma Holistics A Nursing Approach?
Conventional nurses work in many different environments but the main thing that is consistent is that the main way of practice is following a physician’s orders of administering medications or medical treatments. At Kurma Holistics, I solely follow nursing scope and standards of practice with no medications or medical treatments. Through the years, I have received board certifications in both Holistic Nursing and as a Health & Wellness Nurse Coach. Through these nursing specialties, I have gained a plethora of knowledge and tools to support my clients as a whole. This means that when you receive care at Kurma Holistics you will be supported through health and wellness coaching and education on various lifestyle changes that can positively impact your health physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. When working in various conventional environments as a nurse I did not have the time, between administering medications, medical treatments, or charting to educate in the way that I truly believed my patients needed. Therefore, I decided to branch out and open my own practice by helping my clients in the community. Now I can honestly see the fruits of my labor as the nurse that I desire to be for you in the community. I can say watching my client’s life change is as magnificent as looking up at the stars, so magnificent. When we, as human beings, are given therapeutic tools and knowledge combined with individualized support, just how much our lives can change in monumental ways.
